About the Journal
TeCREA was launched in 2024 by members of the Visual, Virtual and Interactive Design (VIVID) research group at the International University of La Rioja. The journal publishes one issue per year in a continuous publication model, in Spanish.
Scope
The scope and themes proposed would therefore include:
- Interdisciplinarity between Design and Technology: Exploring how design and technology intertwine in the digital landscape, ranging from theoretical to practical applications.
- Video games as a cultural product: Studies of video games in today's society, as well as their narrative development, design and influence on other disciplines.
- Impact of Digital Technologies: Studies on how digital technologies are transforming traditional fields such as design or filmmaking, ranging from the creative process to the final product.
- Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality: Analysis of the impact of virtual and augmented reality on visual and architectural arts.
- Architecture and Digital Technology: Analysis of how digital media and new technologies are influencing and changing the architectural project on all levels.
- Transformative Power of New Media: Research on how new media are redefining communication, art and social interactions, highlighting their influence on contemporary society.
Articles must be completely original and not submitted for review in other journals. They should be submitted according to the guidelines given in the Instructions to Authors. The journal also accepts book reviews.
All articles submitted to the journal will be evaluated following a double-blind peer review process. Those who publish articles express their ideas under their sole responsibility.
Publication costs
TeCREA provides diamond open access. Publication is free and open with no costs to authors or readers.
Copyright
TeCREA is an open access journal published under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0 (Attribution-NonCommercial) license, which means that all content is freely available to the user or his/her institution.
All published articles have a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registered by the journal.
TeCREA authorizes the authors to use the published material (in its online preview format or in its final version), at any time without requesting any permission, always citing the journal in which it has been published and with its corresponding DOI.
The authors grant the journal all intellectual property rights (distribution, public communication, reproduction, transformation) of the published articles.
Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without requesting prior permission from the editor or the author, always citing the journal in which it was published and its corresponding DOI.

TeCREA does not accept advertising.

The use of academic social networks and scientific repositories to disseminate the work is recommended.
